Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

July

14

1 - 3pm

A Midsummer Night’s Dream, one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, follows multiple stories of love and magic in an enchanted forest. Hermia is in love with Lysander, but her father wants her to marry Demetrius. To escape the arranged marriage, she and Lysander elope into the woods. Demetrius follows them, pursued by the doting Helena. A love quadrangle develops when the mischievous Puck plays Cupid. Meanwhile, a group of amateur actors rehearses in the woods, and soon all find their lives changed by the quarrel of Oberon and Titania, the king and queen of the fairies. Magic, action, love and humor are the ingredients for this unforgettable spell.
